
AgReliant Genetics Names Director of Northern Breeding Program
WESTFIELD, Ind., – July 1, 2013
AgReliant Genetics would like to announce the hiring of Dr. Chris Clucas as the company’s Director of Northern Breeding. Clucas brings over 28 years of research and management experience in many phases of corn inbred line development and hybrid evaluation.
Based at the company’s Kirkland, Illinois research facility, Clucas will oversee the company’s early season corn product portfolio. His team’s focus will be to continue developing corn products for the company’s northern geography by utilizing innovative breeding techniques and the latest biotechnology traits.
Clucas received his bachelor of science in agronomy from Illinois State University. He then completed his doctorate in plant breeding and cytogenetics at Iowa State University.
“Dr. Clucas brings a wealth of experience to lead our northern breeding team in some of the fastest growing areas of North America,” said Dr. Tom Koch, Vice President of Research for AgReliant Genetics. “His expertise will be extremely valuable as we continue our progress in this geography.”
