Lt. Governor Ellspermann Holds Roundtable at AgReliant Genetics
WESTFIELD, Ind., – October 9, 2013
AgReliant Genetics welcomed over 25 Hamilton County business and agricultural industry representatives to their Westfield headquarters for Indiana Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann’s “Listen & Learn Tour” roundtable last Friday. The tour’s purpose is to give local elected officials and business leaders an opportunity to share the strengths, challenges and priorities of each of the state’s 92 counties with Ellspermann.
Craig Newman, President & CEO of AgReliant Genetics, was pleased to host the event at the company’s headquarters and also to participate in the roundtable discussion.
“AgReliant Genetics has called Westfield home since our inception in 2000,” said Craig Newman. “We appreciated the opportunity to work with Hamilton County by providing the venue for this important discussion and also to introduce attending business owners and managers to our company.”
Ellspermann facilitated the discussion by following a standard SWOT analysis format, asking questions of the group regarding Hamilton County’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. This gave participants a chance to share their ideas and concerns from their individual business perspectives. She also sought guidance on how the state can be a better partner to those industries represented in the room.
This visit was the Lt. Governor’s 59th stop on her 92-county tour, which is scheduled to wrap up in November. A summary of the resulting action items and key points from the entire tour will be made available online in December.
